Likeness lightly held

Afloat as castings strewn
in diurnal tandem;
neither rising nor chasing

Onto forlorn temporal grounds,
casually affirmed as anchored
and resisting; endlessly cleaning
away, from that encapsulated kernel
of an unbroken self-reflection.

Held against a scrutinising light
placed alongside an assumed simplicity,
cloaked in contingent waverings
of a restrained tongue -
breaking out in resonance,
with amplified reiterations
of its own fully formed closure.
